New Jersey Shore 8/18-8/26
Despite the cloudiest, rainiest, coldest summer week in Long Beach Island History, and my father's falling and breaking his arm on a Mr. Potato Head, this summer's family vacation was a homerun!!
We were pysched to be headed down after last summer's fabulous sunny trip to North Beach, only to have our hopes dashed with Mother Nature's cranky ways. We were quick to modify our plans though and we made the best of it... our days were spent crabbing and fishing at the end of the block, killing time in arcades, and watching the Disney Channel! Hannah Montana is now dead to us!! The evenings were lighter fare, and spent with my siblings and parents playing games and telling stories while drinking wine, beer, sangria, and mojitos! Good times!
Phil put on his uncle hat and was a total hit with the kids. In fact, Jackie is already planning their marriage! Okay, so that sounds a little naughty, and more like an Alabama family, than the high class NJ one that we are... Phil also donned his Chef hat, and treated my family to daily guacamole and a couple of his famous soups! They were in heaven.
I snuck down for one last hurrah, met up with the family at Fantasy Island, where I found Phil and Hayley screaming like little girls on a free fall ride! We then took the girls for a spin on the bumper cars before going our separate ways for a romantic Seafood dinner in Bay Villiage. Afterwards we made our way back to the house and finished the week the way it started... drunk! What's wrong with us?!

I had to leave after a few days, and left Phil to fend for himself in the nut house, I mean, the beach house. Thankfully, the weather broke before anyone killed each other, and by the middle of the week, the crew found themselves out on the beach... the "Moody" bitches.... I mean, my lovely family.
