Disneyworld/Caribbean Cruise

I know many of you have anticipated a lengthy report of our vacation in Florida as well as in the Caribbean. This will not be as detailed as the New Zealand adventure, but then again this was a completely different kind of vacation.

The first leg of our trip was spent in Orlando with my friend Patrick & his boyfriend Jeff, who we're the most gracious host. He welcomed us into his home and treated us like family. Not only that, we had the opportunity to spend 3 days @ Disneyworld (Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom & MGM Studios) courtesy of Patrick. So sweet!! Shawn and I spent out 2 year anniversary dinner at a French Bistro in Epcot Center overlooking the fireworks. So romantic. :-) That evening, we stayed in the Caribbean resort (Trinidad secton) which was also a treat.

Early Sunday morning, we rented a car in Kissammee and drove to FT Lauderdale to meet up with good friends Elvira & Franz at the Princess Cruises Terminal where the Caribbean Princess was docked. Once we were checked in it and set sail, we happily were upgraded to a suite on the Dolphin. OMG, it was so awesome!!!! Living room & Balcony with a large bathroom. SWEET!

Our cruise destinations: Bahamas (private island), St Maarten & St Thomas. The Bahamas was very nice, but the weather was unpredictable. Although it was warm and the water beautiful, there were scattered showers. We still made the best of it, exploring most of the island.

St Maarten was PERFECTION, but I'm a little biased. Reason being is Shawn and I made the decision to buy rings to take our relationship to the next level. Elvira recommended the Jeweler she was familiar with, which is where we purchased the rings. It was that evening that Shawn formally asked me to marry him. :-) Yes, it was VERY romantic and something I knew was in the making. Happiness is my beautiful Shawn

St Thomas was gorgeous, just like the last time I was there. We spent most of our day at Sapphire Beach, where everyone but myself went snorkeling. I enjoyed the beach and the beautiful water. So relaxing and the perfect weather. IF only we had a few more days.

We spent 3 days at sea which was a great way to relax, watch movies under the stars, eat like no man should eat and watch both Elvira and Franz perform. this was exactly the medicine I needed to start the year correctly. :-)
