WHAT MORE CAN I SAY? - THE SONGS OF WILLIAM FINN
Broadway Voices presents their new show, "What More Can I Say? – The Songs of William Finn." Finn is the Tony Award winning composer of "In Trousers", "Falsettos", "Elegies: A Song Cycle", "A New Brain", and "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." This season, Broadway Voices feature the talents of Dan Baillie, Ben Coleman, Michael Connolly, Tim Howard, Sonelius Kendrick Smith, Michael Morisi, Jim Vivyan, Seth Watsky, TJ Witham and Phil Zipkin, under the artistic and musical direction of MAC nominee Adam West Hemming, co-founder of the No Square Theatre in Laguna Beach, California.
In "What More Can I Say?" Broadway Voices present their own urban gay twist on the William Finn Songbook, with all male vocal arrangements provided by Adam West Hemming.
This season's first three shows will be at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036, on Sunday, May 2, 2010, with two shows scheduled at 1pm and 4pm, and Monday, May 3, 2010, at 9:30pm. The cover charge for each show is $20 per person plus a $15 food/beverage minimum per person (The West Bank Cafe's lunch and dinner menu with full bar will be available). Broadway Voices in What More Can I Say: The Songs of William Finn @ Etcetera Etcetera
On Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 6pm to around 9pm, Broadway Voices, NYCGMC's small ensemble, will be making its performing/cabaret debut this season as part of Salon's "It Takes Two (or More) to Tango - Ensemble Songs" at Etcetera Etcetera restaurant at 352 West 44th Street, NY, NY 10036, phone 212-399-4141. There is a $10 cover charge and a $10 food/beverage minimum.At Salon, Broadway Voices will be debuting its company number Infinite Joy, arranged by Broadway Voices Artistic Director Adam Hemming, from its What More Can I Say? The songs of William Finn. Salon hosts a number of people from the Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs (MAC), including individuals from its MAC awards nominating committee. This will be a HUGE opportunity for the Chorus to present Broadway Voices to New York's cabaret scene and we need all the support we can muster.
